My NEWER Hair

So since I posted about my "new hair", I made another change. I did ombré! My friend Amanda came over and helped me pick out the dye, mix it, and she basically did the whole application process for me. If you're planning on doing any sort of DIY dye that requires painting something on, I highly suggest having a friend help you out. I definitely couldn't have done it without her! So anyway, here are a few pics.

Summer Camp Prep Tips

So the last few days I've  been packing up for summer camp, where I'm a Service Team member. Here's what I learned.

1. Don't wait until 2 days beforehand to get a ride.

Or check the packing list. Or pick out clothes. Or do basically anything.

2. Make sure all your stuff fits in the bag you're planning on using.

Luckily, I thought of that before trying to fit everything in a duffel bag.

3. Roll up your clothes/towels to save space.

I always do this anyway, but it's definitely worth mentioning!

4. Don't bring everything on the suggested packing list (as long as you don't need it).

The packing list was provided by my camp included stuff like fishing/BB Gun/Archery equipment, and that's just not nesecary. At least if you're like me and don't plan on participating in those activities.

5. Think of anything not on the packing list (which was recommended by a friend or you come up with) you might need to find or buy AT LEAST a week beforehand.

I didn't even think about the fact that I'd probably need a watch, personal schedule, decorations, my contacts, or hair stuff until three days before leaving. Some stuff is pretty important when you're a counseler or a camper, and you might not even think about it until you get there.

6. Remember to label items with your name and/or cabin BEFORE packing it up.

I didn't do this, so I'm hoping I don't lose anything while I'm gone or else it'll probably be gone forever.

Other than that, try and have fun, if that's possible while packing. And don't get too stressed. If you forget something, somebody else will probably have an extra that you can borrow. So get ready and go!
